I used to be a small girl who loved getting dirty in the kitchen (no pun intended!). I spent most of my years in a beautiful, laid-back city with amazing weather and beaches – San Diego, California. I was fortunate to spend some time in NYC doing an internship while eating bagels smeared with cream cheese every morning! I’ve been a foodie ever since I could distinguish milk from cookies.. Now, I’m a big girl who’s, well, just a homesick foodie living in this big, bustling and often times, confusing city – Shanghai! I’m adventurous by nature, so it’s not surprising that I’ve ended up over 6,000 miles away from home. And with that long of a stretch, there’s sure to be a few culinary goodies getting left behind.. like BAGELS!! Plain and simple. They were a staple of my upbringing that I really couldn’t live without. So in a quest to fill a void, I started churning the dough in the kitchen. One day I came up with the idea to churn not just for myself, but for all the homesick foodies out there too.. spread the bagel!!
